CIFCO CEO awarded Small Business Entrepreneur of the Year
Cebu Iron Foundry Corporation CEO Alfred Relucio is awarded as Small Business Entrepreneur of the Year 2018 by the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Mr. Relucio was chosen from among a number of finalists in the category. The award was given during the CCCI 2018 Grand Chamber Awards Night held at the Oakridge Pavilion.
Originally from Luzon, Mr. Relucio started his foundry business in Cebu so he wouldn’t have to compete with his father’s established foundry business. Starting small with limited capital, space, resources and manpower, Mr. Relucio went through challenges in the beginning.
But he always had determination and never giving up. With continuous research and development, innovation and non-compromising quality of its products, CIFCO grew and the company moved to a bigger location with more advanced manufacturing facilities in the early 2000s.
From v-pulleys, Relucio successfully diversified into other products such as parts of waterworks application, manholes and other custom metal-casting requirements.
